A fast-paced sales office in Bloomingdale is seeking an inside project manager/sales coordinator who is detailed, organized and a multi-tasker. This single point of contact will be working in a collaborative fashion with outside sales, the customer and the packaging vendors to ensure that all the requirements of each unique project are met. This position requires a mature and seasoned person who is enthusiastic about solving the customers problems and who is a great communicator with a deep desire to make sure the customer has a great experience. Looking for a strong independent thinker who loves customers, has a positive attitude and who is wholly committed to servicing them on a daily basis. Looking for 3-5 years experience in a customer service/project management role in a manufacturing or distribution business. Any experience in the packaging industry would be an advantage. This position has great earnings potential and upward mobility for a motivated prospect.The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with vendors, customers and outside salesman to make sure all project details are being managed properly
- Manage supply chain involving packaging suppliers and vendors
- Manage project timelines to make sure all promised ship dates are met
- Generate purchase Orders to awarded vendors
- Generate sales orders for customers
- Work closely with the salesman to support all aspects of assigned and active projects
- Be responsive to customer needs and by solving thier problems quickly and efficiently
- Manage customer inventory based on project forecasts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. Equivalent experience is acceptable
- 3-5 years experience in customer service, inside sales or sales coordinator role
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Positive attitude with a penchant for solving problems
- Experience in the packaging industry a plus
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution a plus
- Great communication skills with a goal of being responsive and professional
- Multitasker who can manage the details of more than 20 projects at one time
